Joomla XTC's Flash XTC module is a flash display module for Joomla 1.5. The Module is split into 3 basic administrator defined element positions - Background, Title, and Box positions. Each of these positions will load and display Jpg, Gif, Png, or SWF files. The background and title positions are static positions capable of loading only 1 element each. The Box position uses a Flash Box Rotation script and can load unlimited elements for rotating logos, Flash slideshows and much more.
The Background Element:
This is your overall background for the module position and can be set as a JPG, GIF, PNG, or SWF. This element can be use with the other elements to create a nice static or flash based header design. This element is optional.
The Title Element:
The title element can be used as a title tag for headers or a watermark for slideshows. The title element will load JPG, GIF, PNG or SWF files and can be set to link to outside sources. This element is optional.
The Box Element:
The 3d Box element is the most useful aspect of the Flash Module and is capable of displaying an unlimited number of images or SWF files (*Note* The Box element only works with SWF created with AS3 and will not display certain dynamic SWF files). Once loaded the Box element will rotate the images or SWF in 3D depending on how you set your parameters. This element can be used as a Logo Rotator with the other elements or alone as a 3D slideshow.

Tips and Tricks:
Setting the Links:
Depending on your server configuration you may have to use one of several paths to link to your media.
#1 : Directly linking to your path on your server
if this gives you a pre loading wheel only try
#2 : Linking to a folder direct
if this give you an error try
One of these options should work best. Try different options to get the best results!
The Flash Header:
To create a simple flash animated header with NO Flash knowledge needed
1. Create an overall background graphic for your header and assign it to the background element.
2. Create a text based graphic file for your domain name www.mysite.com and set this image as your title.
3. Assign the box element to your logo graphic and set the box type to 2 sided.
Now you have a Flash Header! Use the V and H positions for the title and Box to align your title and spinning logo.
Creating a 3D Box Logo Header:
Use steps 1 and 2 above. For your box element select 4 sides and assign 4 links to your logo graphic.
The Flash Slide Show
To create a simple flash slideshow with NO Flash knowledge needed
1. Skip the first two elements - Background and Title and head straight to the Box element. Start by setting the box element to 90% of your module size.
2. Set the Box Type to 4 sides
3. Assign each banner to the box elements and set the rotation values accordingly.
As and additional style you can select a module background image to enhance the look and style of your slideshow!
Try different variation of sizes of images to get some unexpected effects, such as using a 250px image adding it to the box roater and define the size at 150... keep adjusting until you find something interesting...
