Advertising Disclosure
How advertising works on JoomlaXTC, and the line between it and our editorial coverage.
The rule
Advertising has no influence on editorial coverage. Advertisers do not choose what we write about, do not see articles before publication, and cannot buy a review, a mention, a score or a link. An advertiser who asks for any of those is declined.
What we accept
Display advertising and clearly labelled sponsored placements from companies operating in the Joomla and wider CMS ecosystem — hosting providers, extension and template developers, agencies and training providers.
What we do not accept
- Paid links inside editorial articles, whether or not they are marked.
- Advertorial written to read as editorial.
- Sponsorship conditional on coverage, on a score, or on the removal of criticism.
- Advertising from sectors we do not cover and cannot vet.
Labelling
Every paid placement is visibly labelled as advertising or sponsored at the point where the reader encounters it — not only in this policy. If a page contains sponsored content, it says so on the page.
Separation
Advertising is handled separately from editorial. Editorial staff do not negotiate with advertisers, and commercial staff have no input into editorial decisions or advance access to unpublished work.
Reader data
We do not sell reader data to advertisers. What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy, and what advertising technology may set in your browser is covered in our Cookie Policy.
