You Tube Background Video Player does not work on touch devices because it can't work there. Youtube doesn't allow the use of javascript to control the player on mobile devices and all the devices vendors (iOs and Android) have many restrictions on media control via javascript. Currently there is no solution for this. The best option is to use a still frame from your video as your body background for mobile.
