Description
JoomlaXTC's Simple MP3 player plugin enables your system to offer on-line listening of one or more MP3 audio files using a friendly player and allows you to manage these files transparently thru the standard Joomla media manager.
Installation
Install the plugin using Joomla's extension Install/Uninstall feature. After installation, go to Joomla's plugin manager and enable the plugin. Make sure you edit the plugin parameters to specify the music folder for your MP3 files and folders. If you select none, the default folder will be the standard "media/" folder on your Joomla installation. If, for example, you select a folder like "my_music", the plugin will look in "media/my_music" for mp3 files. Keep this in mind so you know where to upload music files.
Operation
To add the player to a Joomla article or any other content supporting Joomla content plugins, simply edit the article and add the following tags wherever you want to place the mp3 player:
{xmp3}your_audio_file.mp3{/xmp3}The plugin works when the article is shown in your site replacing the tags with a flash MP3 player that plays the filename specified.
A sample content and tag could look like this:
I love Tango music, click here to hear a sample: {xmp3}tango.mp3{/xmp3}
This will show your content and replace the tag with the single-track version of the player ready to reproduce the tango.mp3 file from your music folder.
The player has a multiple-track mode that is enabled automatically if you specify a directory instead of a file, for example:
I love Tango music, click here to hear some samples: {xmp3}tango_music{/xmp3}
"tango_music" is a folder within your music folder that contains several mp3 files, in this case the tag will be replaced with the multiple-track version of the player and reproduce all mp3 files from the "media/tango_music/" folder.
Use the Joomla Media Manager to upload mp3 files to your music directory.
The single track mode supports the following keys:

Player Configuration
Both players included in the plugin (for Single and Multiple modes) can be configured independently, the self-explanatory parameters available for each are located in the "Advanced" section of the module parameters to allow for specific configurations such as width and height, background skin, button colors, etc.
