Uploading the package element:
The Deluxe MP3 Player CB Edition is installed like any other CB PLUG via the Community Builder Plug In management page. Install the plug-in.zip via the Plug in Installer and then open the plugin to configure.
Uploading the package extras:
The Deluxe MP3 Player CB Edition package includes a folder called dexluemp3 containing player skins and a sample logo. Upload this folder with your custom logo or custom skins to your main Joomla images directory in the root of your joomla install.
Sample path:
mydomain.com/images/deluxemp3
Configuring the Plugin:
Path: Folder name to store the files on your sever - The folder will automatically be created in your media/ folder in the root of your Joomla Install.
Single file size limit: You can set limits on the file size of each mp3 upload here
User area size limit: You can restrict the users total upload limit here
Playlist font color: Font color for Playlist in the upload and edit area (not for the frontend mp3 player)
Playlist background color: Background color for Playlist in the upload and edit area (not for the frontend mp3 player)
Filename font color: Font color for mp3 name in the upload and edit area (not for the frontend mp3 player)
Filename background color: Background color for mp3 name in the upload and edit area (not for the frontend mp3 player)
Popup button text: Text for the popup player button
Popup link text color: Text color
Popup link background color: Color for the button background
Player width: Width in px of the frontend MP3 Player Display
Player Height: Width in px of the frontend MP3 Player Display
Logo Image: Top left logo tag image for your player - Add your logo via the Joomla Media Manager or FTP. Images should be stored in images/dexluemp3/
Custom Skin Image: Custom default skin selection - Add your custom skins via the Joomla Media Manager or FTP. Images should be stored in images/dexluemp3/
Icon Set: Default Icon set selection
Allow user skins: Allow users to upload their own custom skin for the player
Auto Play: Auto Play on page load?
Disable downloads: Disable download features?
Disable RSS/Podcast Feeds? RSS subscribe links for the PLAYLISTS
Disable Embedding? Disables 3rd party embedding features, allowing users to put your player on their myspace and personal pages - NOTE: This could result in heavy bandwidth issues!
Track Mode? Default setting for Player start view - Tracks or Playlists
Assigning a Tab Position:
The Deluxe MP3 Player CB Edition tab position is assigned like any other CB PLUG via the Community Builder Tab management page. Select the Deluxe MP3 Player and choose what tab position and style to use. We suggest using the div no title display.
Changing The Players Default Skin:
To create a new look for the player - use one of Joomlaxtc.com's pre designed skins, or create your own skin with a graphic editing program like Photoshop. Skin Templates are provided with the package and should be uploaded to your images/deluxemp3 folder.
How It Works:
The Deluxe MP3 Player CB Edition adds a custom mp3 player tab position to each users profile page. Users may upload playlists and mp3s via the EDIT tab on their profile page. Depending on the admin settings users can select their own skin, downloadable playlists, rss podcast feed, and 3rd part embedding of their player and playlists.
