Custom Fields Confirmed for Joomla 3.7

One of the most anticipated features for Joomla is confirmed for the upcoming Joomla 3.7 release. For the past year we have been waiting for several new features to be added to Joomla, and now we have confirmation that Joomla 3.7 will feature custom fields.

Joomla 3.7 Custom Fields

The new custom fields for Joomla will be a significant advancement for the CMS and will bring Joomla closer to a true CCK. The custom fields are a core feature of Joomla 3.7 and will be used for more than just Content and will be utilized in several of the core components such as the contact component. Supported by all extensions, Custom Fields will have a significant impact with Joomla Extension Developers. We are looking forward to the full Joomla 3.7 release scheduled for December 2016
